Terms of service

Effective date: April 19, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Parity Figma plugin (the "plugin") and the website at parityplugin.design (the "site"), together "Parity" or "the service". By installing the plugin or using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

Who can use Parity

You must be at least 13 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement. If you're using Parity on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

Your account and content

  • The plugin uses your Figma account identity to track usage; you are responsible for activity under that identity.
  • You retain ownership of any content you submit to an audit (URLs, uploaded images, text). You grant Parity a limited license to process that content for the purpose of producing and returning the audit, and to store it if you explicitly save an audit to your history.
  • You represent that you have the right to submit the content you put into Parity, and that doing so doesn't infringe anyone's rights or break any law.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit content that is illegal, infringing, abusive, or intended to harass or harm others.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or otherwise disrupt the audit service or our infrastructure.
  • Use Parity to scrape, mass-process, or resell third parties' content without their permission.
  • Circumvent usage limits, including by creating multiple accounts to exceed the free tier quota.

Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

  • Parity Pro is offered on a recurring monthly subscription billed through Stripe. The current price is shown on the Upgrade page at the time of purchase.
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • You may cancel at any time from the Account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro access until then. We don't prorate or refund partial months except where required by law.
  • We may change the price of future billing periods. We'll notify active subscribers before the change takes effect; your next renewal acts as acceptance of the new price, and you can cancel beforehand to avoid it.
  • Failed payments may suspend Pro access until the account is brought current.

Free tier

The free tier is offered as-is and may change. We may adjust the monthly free quota, rate-limit individual accounts that appear to be abusing the service, or discontinue the free tier with reasonable notice.

Service availability

We aim for Parity to be available and fast, but we don't guarantee uptime. We may take the service down for maintenance, emergency fixes, or to protect users. We're not liable for interruptions in third-party services Parity relies on, including Figma, Stripe, our AI providers, and our hosting providers.

Intellectual property

  • The Parity name, logo, plugin UI, site, and source are owned by us. These terms don't grant you any right to use them beyond what's needed to use the service.
  • We may display generic product feedback (e.g. "user testimonial") publicly. We won't publish your Figma content or audit outputs without your explicit permission.

Privacy

Our handling of your data is described in the privacy policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

Termination

You can stop using Parity and cancel your subscription at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, break the acceptable-use rules, or expose us or other users to legal or security risk. If we terminate your account other than for cause, we'll refund any prepaid but unused portion of your current billing period.

Disclaimer of warranties

Parity is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We don't warrant that audit findings are complete, accurate, or free from error. You are responsible for reviewing audit output before acting on it.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parity's total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of content you submit, your breach of these terms, or your violation of another party's rights through your use of the service.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the "effective date" above and, for material changes, notify active subscribers via email or the plugin. Continued use of the service after the effective date of the changes constitutes acceptance.
